#VPmeetup

September the 1st the day I met the Kenya’s top online community. They included the top tweeps, Top Bloggers and Critics also in the house include some of the respectable media personalities. The meeting hosted at the Nairobi incubation lab that nurtures the Kenya’s ICT talents by mentoring and trainings and providing public free high speed internet. Organized by the vice president of Kenya dubbed is the #VPmeetup. Being one the hundred chosen for the meetup and engage the vice president on the one on one session. My questions to him the aspect of ict village like that of Machakos how do you plan to replicate others in the inland parts of Kenya.
#VPmeetup gave a window of opportunity to me, to interact the people I knew behind the gadgets. People who are of great respect in the Kenya society. It was great exposure for a young blogger being also one of the youngest in the house. But determined I made friends quickly meeting one of my age mate Klein the vice president son. Asset manager at a bank one of the ktn presenters and other including the vice president spokesman whom we spoke in kalenjin. To Kenya’s top software developer whom I made contact with them e.g. ushahidi and. The vice president delivered a speech on the impact of ICT on Kenya’s economy.
Social media is a component in this age of entrepreneurship and marketing thus a growing need in the economics front. With new applications that watches the market and informs one of the happenings. Other machines are currently mobile controlled.
The LinkedIn community a professional site one they must have social account for the job seekers a good place to enrich your network. ICT is said to be one the drivers of the economy in tip age. Could this be the move of Kenya’s politics to the social media? With many of the politicians joining the online community for political platform. On coincidence the dinner with the pm was on concurrently on the same day. This entry of politics in the social media could be drifting it to the political media. With history like the president of America being one known to have heavily benefited from the social media on his political platform.

Its worth to note also that cyberspace is the next playground for terrorists. With future inclination towards software bombs. Information systems and icts that are poorly secured remain vulnerable to cyber attacks and intrusions. Terrorist can use deadly viruses. Hacking tools and malicious software to initiate I have got great passion of ICT knowing that it’s the driver of the economy in this age. Their evil plans With more companies embracing social media in communicating with their clients e.g. safaricom care. Social media seems to closely play with Kenya’s politics savvy politicians embracing internet to sustain campaigns
